January 1971- 9th grade Woodrow Wilson Jr High School- Mark Longacre suggests to Mike & Ted Fordney that a band be formed to play for a PTA talent show. The spring concert was a success and the FBB was born.   Soon after Tom Chermak joins the group.  The band plays throughout the Fox River Valley until the final performance at Jack's Beer Garden - New Years 1974/1975.

MP3s -
  • Country Dawg - this recording from 1974 was the core band, Mike, Ted, Tom and Mark, and made in the Chermak basement.  Written and sung by Mike and at 15 minutes, the Allman Bros inspiration on the band is front and center. A real gem..
  • Angel - this is a reenactment of our second performance - an 'original' written by Ted - preserved for the silly side of the group and our great fun

Country Dawg - be patient - 14Meg!!
